The Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce’s Ambassador Program is a group of Chamber Members who are passionate about Putnam County and bettering the Business Community. Ambassadors are the legs of the Chamber and seek to serve and support membership, recruit new members and help with the retention of current members.
What is an Ambassador?
Ambassadors are community leaders who volunteer their time and skills to the Chamber.
What do Ambassadors do?
Ambassadors work together to build relationships. They volunteer at Chamber events, visit other members and leverage their unique skills to help grow a thriving business community.
Duties
As a Chamber Ambassador you will:
Represent the Chamber at:
- Business After Hours
- Coffee Connections
- Ribbon Cuttings, Ground Breakings, Open Houses
- New Member Mixers
Volunteer:
- In the Chamber Office when needed
- At Chamber Events
Support the Business Community

- Deliver new member packets
- Assist in membership retention

What do Ambassadors get in return?
Recognition, exposure and new friends! The Chamber recognizes Ambassadors’ accomplishments every chance we get. Ambassador spotlights in our quarterly magazine, social media shout outs, and individual acknowledgement during Chamber events are just a few of the ways we keep our volunteers in the spotlight.
It’s also the ultimate networking experience. Through member visits and event participation, Ambassadors get to grow their personal connections at every turn.
How much time will it take?
Everyone’s schedule is different and we understand that. With that in mind, the amount of time you’re willing to give is entirely up to you. We require each Ambassador attend at least one event per month. Then, anything more is up to the individual and their availability.
What if I can’t make it to the meetings?
We encourage you to attend Ambassador meetings when you can, but it is not required. If you cannot make a monthly meeting then join us at one of the many other events the Chamber hosts, like ribbon cuttings or Business After Hours. Meeting minutes will be sent out after each meeting so you will continue to be informed.
How do I get started?
To get started, fill out our application and schedule a meeting with the Chamber’s Membership Manager. They will show you the ropes and answer any questions you may have.
