Santa Sightings in GA Lake Country



Old Saint Nick is a pretty busy guy during the Christmas season, but we tracked him down and found out when he will be driving his sleigh through Georgia’s Lake Country in the upcoming month.  Santa Clause is coming to town!

1st Stop: Cookies with Santa at Exchange Bank 

on November 25th from 9am-12pm, Mr. Claus is coming to Exchange Bank Lake Sinclair, their newest location in front of Kroger in Milledgeville. Stop by with your good little boys and girls to share their Christmas Wish List, enjoy yummy cookies, and sip hot cocoa with Santa! Learn More

2nd Stop: Frosty Friday at Harmony Crossing

On December 1st from 5:30-7:30pm, head to Harmony Crossing in Eatonton, Ga for live music by Ronnie Pittman, christmas sales, giveaways and to see a special guest: Santa Clause! This is a free event for all to enjoy.  Please call 706.923.0190 for more information.

3rd Stop: Dinner with the Elves

On December 1st from 6:00-9:00pm, the Putnam County Recreation Department will provide dinner, crafts, music, photograph opportunities, and then the movie “Elf.”  We might even get a visit from the Jolly man in the Red suit. Cost – $5.00 per person. Learn More 

4th Stop: 
Breakfast with Santa at Putnam General Hospital

On December 2nd From 9am-12pm, join Saint Nick and his auxillary elves for a holiday themed breakfast, visit and picture with Santa, and entrance into the Secret Shop (gifts from $1-$3 for small shoppers) at Putnam General in Eatonton, GA! 5th Stop: Breakfast with Santa at Cuscowilla

On December 2nd, Start the holidays off by enjoying a delicious breakfast with Santa prepared by the Waterside Culinary Team. Now is the chance to give your letters to Santa! They will have a professional photographer to photograph the memories! (Pictures included in the price). Adults: $25 , Children: $20, Photograph only: $10 each, Children 3 and under, free. 6th Stop: Breakfast with Santa at Lakeside Church

On December 2nd from 9am-12pm, Join Lakeside Church in Greensboro, GA for breakfast, crafts, and of course pictures with Mr. Clause! This is a free event open to all!  Learn More

7th Stop: The Milledgeville Christmas Parade

On December 2nd from 6-8:30pm, the Milledgeville Exchange Club is bringing back their new & exciting Christmas Parade to downtown Milledgeville and it promises to delight with brightly lit floats to begin the season with sparkle! Learn More 


8th Stop: Christmas in the Briar Patch Parade

On December 9th, The Arts and Crafts Bazaar will be held on the Putnam County Courthouse Lawn in Eatonton, GA from 2pm to 7pm. The Light Up The Night Christmas Parade will start at 6pm. Photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Gazebo on the Putnam County Courthouse Lawn will take place after the Parade. Learn More


9th Stop: Caroling by Candlelight in Madison, GA

On December 9th, locals will parade through Downtown Madison from 4-5pm to ring in the Christmas Holiday! After the parade, join friends for the annual Caroling By Candlelight celebration in Town Park. An evening full of music and holiday spirit brought to you by Madison Main Street. In addition to the musical show, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and the Elves will be on hand to hear Christmas wishes. Kids are invited to sit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, or leave a special letter for speedy delivery to the North Pole. Learn More

10th Stop: Hard Labor Creek State Park in Rutledge, GA

On December 16th from 3-5pm, the park will be offering Hay Rides for $2/person. At 5:30, there will be a parade featuring saint Nick himself! Stay afterward to get a picture and sing some carols (5:45pm-7pm). Parking is $5. Call (706) 557-3001 for more information.

11th Stop: Breakfast with Santa at Farmers and Merchants Bank

On December 20th, join the FMB team at their Lake Oconee Branch in Eatonton, GA for breakfast! There will also be fun, games, and crafts to enjoy as well. While you are there, don’t forget to tell santa what is on your list for this year. Call (706) 485-9941 for more information.


12th Stop: The Milledgeville Mall

From December 8th – December 24th, share your Christmas wish list and have your picture taken with Saint Nick by his joyful Christmas elves. His workshop has several photograph packages available.

Other activities to get you in the holiday spirit:

“Talk to Santa”

A phone conversation between your child and Santa.  Santa is going to be calling your child to check and make sure he/she is not on the Naughty List. Santa will also be asking what your child wants for Christmas. The calls will happen on Dec 19th. from 6pm to 8pm. (Questionnaire will be emailed out few days before the phone calls) Must sign up by Dec 14.  Cost is $1/child (Money goes towards the Recreation Scholarship Fund.  This helps kids play sports that cannot afford it).  Contact Putnam County Recreation to sign up 706.485.8565

Ice Skating at the Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee

from November 23-January 8, the beautiful 6,000-square-foot Ice Rink in The Forest at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee will be open for guests. Invigorating exercise and fun are topped off with hot cocoa or hot apple cider. Skating will be available daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The cost for non-hotel guests is $30 per adult, per session and $20 per child, per session. Ice skating is complimentary for all registered hotel guests.

Polar Express Program

On December 2nd, Join The Eatonton Putnam Library at 11:00am for a special Polar Express Story Time Program! They will have games, crafts, and a reading of The Polar Express! Learn More
