Hike at Rock Hawk
Rock Hawk is located off Hwy 16 along the Historic Piedmont Scenic Byway beside Lawrence Shoals Park. The Rock Hawk Park covers more than 15 miles or trails divided into five sections varying in lengths. The trails provide visitors with many activities such as bird watching, hiking or biking. Their are displays along the trail and wetlands and the indoor and outdoor interpretive centers near the effigy that cover a wide variety of flora and fauna as well as 12,000 years of the area’s history, including a history of Putnam County’s unique large effigies.
