The Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce is proud of the Awards & Accreditations that we hold as a Chamber.
Below are recognitions that we have been awarded or staff members have been awarded.
GACCE Georgia Certified Chamber recognition
The GACCE Georgia Certified Chamber program is designed to promote public awareness of the intent of the chamber of commerce brand as a not-for-profit community development-based business membership organization by providing a peer review process of generally accepted chamber of commerce organizational benchmarks.
The program is 100% voluntary. There is no requirement to participate.
Any Chamber that is currently accredited through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is exempt from all application requirements with proof of accreditation.
Any GACCE member Chamber of Commerce may apply.
GACCE follows the U.S. Chamber model, and the designation needs to be reapplied for every five years.
GACCE’s 2016 Legacy Award: Mrs. Roddie Anne Blackwell
For more than twenty years, the Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (GACCE) has presented the Legacy Award. The association’s most prestigious award, it recognizes long-term executives who have excelled over a period of years in leading and innovatively building their chamber. The award is based on the demonstration of excellence in areas of chamber leadership, organizational management, service to the profession, community reputation/involvement, and personal attributes.
Roddie Anne has served as President of the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber for 36 years. Through her leadership, she has driven her chamber
to be recognized as a Georgia Certified Chamber. She is a Georgia Certified Chamber Executive (GCCE), and she is also a past Board Member of GACCE.
Roddie Anne was nominated by Duncan Criscoe, a Past Chairman of the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber, and to quote from the nomination:
“From courting new business, to developing new tourism activities, she is constantly looking for ways to enhance our wonderful town, and she possesses the perfect leadership and management skills to do just that.”
“Her 36 years of passion and commitment have done a tremendous amount of good for our community.”
“Our city and county would not be where it is today without her passion, commitment and true grit.”
We congratulate Roddie Anne on receiving this award!
