Coronavirus Updates 3/17/20

Diligently and effectively, our region is taking action to minimize the spread of COVID-19. In congruence with the guidance of Governor Kemp and the CDC, the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber will pause all in-person programming and services through the month of March, at which point we will determine the next steps.

Our networking events have been cancelled for the month of March with the exception of our Lunch N’ Learn event on March 26th which will now be held via webinar. A link will be provided on our website and on social media for those of you who want to attend.

Our Open House / Ribbon Cutting and our Leadership Putnam Graduation have been postponed, dates TBD. We are having meeting this week to determine the course of action for our Annual Sweet Tee Off Golf Tournament and our Annual Dinner. With the recommendations from the CDC you can expect for these events to be postponed as well but new dates have not been set yet. We will contact all registrants and post on our website and social media once a decision has been made.

Our office will remain open and we will continue to work on behalf of the business community. Business doesn’t stop and neither do we. Our important work in Putnam County continues and our staff will continue to work to serve our members during this challenging time.

In addition to help protect our overall community, we want to remind our members that there are steps we can all take to prevent further spread of the virus. Frequent hand washing and limiting person-to-person interaction with telecommunication efforts is crucial.

We will continue to monitor this closely and will inform you of any changes or updates as we get them. If you have any questions or concerns or need our assistance in any way, please reach out to us at 706-485-7701.

If your business has changed hours of operation, please let us know and we will be glad to help spread the word!
